Yep, that’s right. Sunstones that used to form the river bed of an ancient river in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley are now used by the crew at Stoneleigh to radiate the daytime heat directly onto the vines, making them work hard to produce grapes full of crisp, vibrant flavour.

The 2019 release is here and it’s the style that won’t disappoint if you’re into the classic Marlborough style Pinot Gris – medium dry with just a touch of sweetness, a smooth and easy drinking style that hits the spot. Enjoy this little Gris over the next couple of years (up to 2019) and food match it with white meat, pasta or seafood dishes.
