A warm climate Aussie Shiraz from the wiley old grandmasters of Aussie red wine making. The Bin 28 is a real consumer favourite every year from the Penfolds Bin Range – which is probably why the wiley old grandmaster of Aussie wine critics James Halliday calls it “the mother of the bin range”.
Although originally produced from a single vineyard site (their Kalimna vineyard, you’d never have guessed) as popularity and demand grew they began to produce the wine from multiple vineyards across multiple regions, but still with plenty of fruit presence from the world famous Barossa Valley in there.
This 2015 vintage got solid scores from the usual crop of top Aussie critics, including 95/100 from Huon Hooke (MW) and 94/100 Andrew Caillard (MW). Hooke calls it “A very typical Bin 28 and very good“, his inside tip is this vintage has potential to age really well. Better lay a six pack down in the cellar then right?
It’s simple. Drink some, cellar some. How long you ask? This could comfortably lay down up to 2025 and beyond, if you could possible wait that long!

Damn, you're looking young for your age!
