3sixty2 is a story that dates back some 200 years and involves vine cuttings, James Busby and the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. Although, more recently, it’s about a girl called Alice.

Alice, Alice, who the hell is Alice? It’s Alice Rule, who started the whole 3sixty2 gig. She launched into the NZ market with her boutique, award winning, barrel fermented Marlborough SauvyB – and now we’ve landed her latest addition, a Marlborough Pinot Noir.

So what’s with the name? Well, 362 is the number of cuttings James Busby planted on what would become the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, Alice’s hood. And having done her groundwork as a young NZ viticulturist and totally obsessed with wine, it seemed like a good place to start.

On her debut Pinot Noir release Alice calls said “This wine displays hallmark Pinot characteristics, floral and berry compote,,,Featuring a 100% wild ferment, the structured finish is long and abundant in spice.”

Alice also continues her awesome work to ensure the 3sixty2 brand is one of the leading sustainable wine producers in Aotearoa. In fact, as at the end of 2021 3sixty2 is New Zealand’s first wine producer to have a complete climate positive wine portfolio with CarbonClick. The carbon offset portfolio is made up of 50% New Zealand native reforestation, 25% biofuel project in China and 25% wind farm in India. Nice one!
